Sunday Club RunsRun from end of October to end March, these rides depart from the Leisure Centre in Denbigh at 9am sharp. The first hour is done at a steady pace on a flat route to ensure everyone stays together and gains experience riding in a group. Later the group splits into two: one doing a 2-3 hour ride and the other a 4+ hour ride. |
Denbigh Road RaceHeld annually in May this 64 mile road race is open to E/1/2 catagories with a seperate 3/4/W/J race also run at the same time on the same course. British Cycling racing licenses are required. The race covers seven laps of the D1/9 course taking in Denbigh-Llandyrnog-Bodfari-Denbigh. The HQ is Denbigh Rugby Club (on Graig Road). The race starts at 10:00am. |
Time Trials (TTs)In a TT you race alone against the clock. Rhyl CC organises TTs throughout the year:
A competitor must be a member of a cycling club affiliated to Cycling Time Trials (CTT) or the Scottish Cyclists' Union (SCU). Non-members can participate in come and try it events. All Denbigh based TTs are come and try it events and are free to first time participants for the first 2 events only, thereafter they must join a club. Members of a CTT/SCU affiliated cycling club, including Rhyl CC, must pay £1 to ride a TT.

You must be at least twelve years old to ride a TT and if you are under eighteen you must wear a protective
hard shell helmet and your parent/guardian must complete a
